Healthiest Hot Cocoa {RECIPE}

Basic recipe:

  • 12 - 16 oz. milk (don't heat over 117 to keep it raw)

  • 2 Tbsp. coconut sugar, honey, or syrup

  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder

Optional add-ins that don't taste:

  • 1 egg yolk (not the egg white - another post coming about this)

  • 1 Tbsp. kefir (don't heat over 117 to keep it raw)

  • butter

  • coconut oil

  • 2 Tbsp. collagen powder

  • 1 Tbsp. broth

Optional flavor:

  • 1 drop peppermint essential oil (more than 1 drop will clear out your sinuses completely)

  • 1 drop lavender essential oil

  • vanilla extract

I stir everything together over medium heat and whisk it especially as it heats up at the end to create foam from the collagen powder and egg yolk.
